Why window cleaning before the holidays is worthwhile
Before the holidays, people sit closer to the glass. The light is low, and guests look at the pane more readily than they do in high summer against the sun. Fingers, a light film and the marks in the rebate and on the sill become easier to see. The glass has not suddenly become dirtier overnight.
A clean beforehand resets the glass, frames, rebates and sills. It is worthwhile when you want that film gone before the days stay short and the panes stay wet for longer. It does not stop later weather, and it is not protection for the whole winter.
The same applies to a reception and a shopfront, where the first impression matters. Commercial glass is its own line, and it carries the same 10% because it is window cleaning.

December stays inside the offer through 31 December 2026. A clean booked for December still receives the same 10% on the window line.
Rain and cold are not a reason to wait
Wet, cool weather is normal in the Lucerne region in November and December. It is not a reason to leave the panes until January. Rain may take some loose dust with it. It does not replace cleaning, it often only moves dirt that is already there, and it can leave marks after it dries.
Work goes ahead when access is safe and the panes can dry. A storm, or ice on the access, means another day. That kind of day is not described here as a normal visit.
What the 10% covers
The 10% applies to the window line: home glass, commercial glass and interior glazing, when the clean takes place between 1 November and 31 December 2026. The rate per square metre stays the same as in the rest of the year. The discount is taken off that line afterwards.
A worked example, not a quote: if the window line is CHF 400, 10% is CHF 40. The line then stands at CHF 360. Area, access and soiling set the figure in your quote.

Intervals from November 2026
From November 2026 we plan repeating window cleaning for flats, houses and office glass in the area named above. A subscription here is not a monthly price and not a flat fee. After the visit, the rhythm and the fixed price are written in the quote. The gap follows the property, for example monthly or quarterly. There is no gap that suits every house.
The 10% applies to the first visit of that new interval, when the visit falls inside the offer window. Later visits on the same interval run at the agreed rate, even if one of them still falls in December.
A single job without an interval receives the 10% on the window line once the clean takes place in this period. That includes work for people who have used GlasRein.ch before.
What GlasRein.ch includes
For a normal flat or house, both sides of these items are standard:
- interior glass
- exterior glass
- frames
- rebates
- sills
- a final check of the edges
Exterior only is possible if you ask for it. The standard rate of CHF 13 per m² is for residential cleaning on both sides. If the quote names one side, the scope is smaller, and the 10% applies to that smaller line.
Quoted separately, at the full rate:

What cleaning costs before the 10% comes off
Home glass costs CHF 13 per m², commercial glass starts from CHF 18 per m², and interior glazing is CHF 14 per m². November and December do not change that price per square metre. The 10% is then taken off the window line of the quote.

Lucerne, Kriens, Emmen, Horw, Ebikon, Malters and Sursee
GlasRein.ch is owner-operated and plans visits from Malters. In Lucerne the work covers flats, houses and commercial glass with different access. Kriens is on the way. Emmen has larger residential and commercial fronts. In Horw, access around the house often matters more than the postcode. Ebikon is a residential and commercial area a short drive from Malters.
Malters is the base. Sursee is covered with the same fixed-price scope, frames included. For other municipalities in the Canton of Lucerne, the enquiry confirms travel and the time window. We do not promise a standing crew in every village.
